Mr. Foster Louie Toney, 84, of Lincolnton Hwy., Elberton, GA passed away Thursday, June 28, 2018 at his home.

Mr. Toney was born October 7, 1933 in Monroe, GA to Jackson Foster Toney and Allene Bowden Toney. He was a member of Woodlawn United Methodist Church and was a retired security guard from Pilgrims Pride.

He is survived by his wife: Mary Smith Toney; daughters and sons-in-law: Rita and Jerry Hart of Lavonia, GA, Jan Madden of Hartwell, GA, Harvey Clubb of Leesville, SC; ten grandchildren and twenty four great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter: Teresa Gordon Clubb; son-in-law: Terry Madden; and all of his siblings: Bernard Ray, Alva Ray, Hollis Ray, Lester Toney, Doris Gooch, Clarence E. Toney, Robert Lee Toney, Claude Jackson Toney, Grace Mae Toney Batton, Carrie Pauline Toney, Lillie Bell Toney Prince, Margaret Wilson Toney Clegg and Frances Earle Toney.

Mr. Toney will be placed in Woodlawn United Methodist Church lie in state at 1:30PM with funeral services to follow at 2:30PM, Sunday July 1. Rev. John Moore and Rev. Lacey Bocock will be officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Blake Manley, Adam Hart, Heath Rice, Mark Gordon, Walt Smith and David Baugh serving as pallbearers.

The family is at the home 2317 Lincolnton Hwy. and will receive friends from 6-8PM Saturday night at Berry Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Louie’s memory to Woodlawn United Methodist Church Building Fund.

Berry Funeral Home & Crematory of Elberton is in charge of the funeral arrangements for Mr. Foster Louie Toney.
