Mrs. Addie Lou Pace Scales, 82, of Anderson Highway, Elberton, wife of the late Robert J. "Bobby" Scales, passed away on Sunday, December 29, 2013, at her residence. Mrs. Scales was born on January 14, 1931, in Elberton to the late Woodrow Wilson Pace and Ester Mae Kanarney Pace. She was a member of Elberton Pentecostal Holiness Church and a retired payroll clerk. Left to cherish her memories are her son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Judy Scales of Anderson, SC; daughter, Teresa Bryant of Elberton; sister, Barbara Pass of Winterville; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by a son, Ronnie Scales. Funeral services celebrating her life will be held 3PM, Tuesday, December 31, at Elberton Pentecostal Holiness Church with Reverend Jimmy Bryan and Reverend Tony Moon officiating. Entombment will follow in Elmhurst Cemetery with Kyle Brown, William "PeeWee" Souther, Nelson Vickery, Trey Snelgrove, Chris Fuqua and Steve Rousey serving as pallbearers. Keith Grisco will serve as a Honorary pallbearer. The family is at the residence of her daughter on Anderson Highway in Elberton and will receive friends from 2-3PM just prior to the service at Elberton Pentecostal Holiness Church.
