Mr. Albert B. Lawton, Jr., 90, of McFarlin Bridge Rd., Carnesville, GA passed away Sunday, September 13, 2020 at his home.

Mr. Lawton was born June 9, 1930 in Fall River, Massachusetts to Albert B. Lawton, Sr. and Mildred Leveque Lawton. He was a member of Indian Creek Baptist Church in Carnesville and was a retired U.S. Air Force veteran.

Albert loved sailing and after retirement from the Air Force he worked as a boat repairman.

He is survived by his wife: Patricia Smith Lawton; children and their spouses: Timothy A. Lawton and Adele of Ocean Springs, MS, Ashley B. Lawton and Justine of Carnesville, GA, Ernest J. Lawton and Doreen of Ringgold, GA, Ramon C. Lawton and Deborah of Buloxi, MS, step-daughters: Janine Frapolly, Nicole Hutt, Renee Cruz; sister: June Tavares of Lugoff, SC; twelve grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parent he was preceded in death by a son: Ronald R. Lawton, sister: Mildred Souraty, brother: Frederick Lawton and grandsons: Nathan A. Lawton and Joel B. Lawton.

Memorial services to celebrate his life will be held 3PM, Saturday, October 10, 2020 at Indian Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Britt Ginn and Dr. Tommy Childress officiating.
