Alma Alice Golden Moon, 72, of 2125 Bakers Ferry Road, Elberton, wife of Ray Moon, passed away Sunday, September 30, 2012, at Elbert Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Moon was born in Brevard, North Carolina, February 14, 1940, to the late Joseph Eliar and Ora Stalkup Golden. She was a homemaker and a member of Francis Asbury United Methodist Church. She is preceded in death by one son, Kenneth Wayne Duvall. In addition to her husband, survivors include eight children, Harold, Wesley, Sam, and Keith Duvall, Kitty McCall, Donna Christian, Diane Berry, and Mary Mills; twenty grandchildren, Carrie Anne Devane, Deanna and Rod Musselwhite, Greg and William Humphries, Candie Stacey, Wes, Bradley, and Adam Duvall, Crystal Arrington, Michael, Joey, and Ryan Christian, Edward, Heather, and David Berry, and Cherie, Charles, Austin, and Christopher Mills; sixteen great-grandchildren, Morgan, Miranda, and Darren Devane, Kadence Musselwhite, Chandler, Ansleigh, Kameron, and Chesnee Humphries, Gabriella and Brantley Stacey, Leland, Angel, and Kendal Arrington, Miley Christian, Ryleigh Stowers, and Kenneth Mills. She was the sister of Fannie, Leotie, Joe, and Jess, Talmage, Wanda, Bonnie, Lorena and Nelli Golden, Emma Offerd, Anna Bracken, and Bessie Reeves. Funeral services celebrating her life will be held at 2PM Wednesday, October 3, in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with the Revs. Calvin Ward, Kenneth Dietle, and Bobby Maxwell officiating. In accordance to Mrs. Moon's wishes, she will be cremated following the service. The body will be placed in the Francis Asbury United Methodist Church at 4:15PM Tuesday afternoon where the family will receive friends from 5-8PM. The Moon family is at the residence, 2125 Bakers Ferry Road.
