Mr. Amos "Pete" Johnson, 79, of Ohio St. Elberton, GA was born March 9, 1942 in Wilkes County, GA to Otis and Gracie Glaze Johnson. He entered into rest on Tuesday, August 10, 2021.

He was a loving Dad, Husband, Grand-dad, and Great-grandson. He was a member of Mt. Zion Church of God Holiness and retired from the granite industry.

Preceding him in death was his wife: Willie Mae Fortson Johnson, three sons: Lucious Dye, Amos Oneal Johnson and Steven Johnson; seven brothers, three sisters and his parents.

Mr. Amos Johnson leaves here on earth to cherish his memory are four children: Ricky (Diane) Dye, Ann (Stacy) Mattox, Tony Johnson and David Johnson all of Elberton; three brothers: Willie Fred (Alice) Johnson, Walter Banks and Lem Junior (Elizabeth) Ardister; one sister: Ora Bell (Robert) Hamm; four sisters-in-law: Mary J. Johnson, Lula Johnson, Zue Ardister, Barbara Banks, Ruby H. Johnson; seven grandchildren, four great-grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Funeral services will be held 2PM Saturday, August 14, 2021 in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.

Berry Funeral Home & Crematory od Elberton is in charge of the funeral arrangements for Mr. Amos "Pete" Johnson.
