Anderson, SC - Ann Greenway Richey, 88, widow of Donnie Edsel Richey, passed away Monday, September 27, 2021.

Born in Elbert County, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Coy and Lorena Carter Greenway. She graduated from Elberton High School and Anderson Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. Her nursing career began at the office of Dr. Olin Hentz and continued with Dr. James Hentz. After 34 years in a private practice, she devoted the next 12 years of her nursing career to National Health Care. She was a dedicated nurse and loved caring for her patients. After retirement, she enjoyed being a volunteer for Hospice of the Upstate.

She was a member of Anderson First Baptist Church and the Sojourners Sunday School Class. When she became unable to attend church services she enjoyed listening to the Baraca Class on the radio.

Survivors include three daughters, Kathy Doughty (Mark), Suzanne Hand, and Lynne Eaves (Mike); five grandchildren, Greta Ann Hand, Mark Doughty, Jr. (Kelli), Austin Doughty (Victoria), Sam Eaves, and Ben Eaves; and two sisters, Rebecca Armstrong and Betty Harvin.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Carter, Swift, Carey, and Joe Greenway and sisters, Kathryn Jackson and Bobbie Greenway.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, September 30, at Sullivan-King Mortuary Chapel conducted by Rev. Chris Liles. A private burial will follow the service. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. Thursday at the mortuary.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621, or First Baptist Church, 307 South Manning Street, Anderson, SC 29624.
