Annette Skelton Jordan, 65, of 2641 Quill Road, Bowman, wife of 50 years to Jerry Jordan, passed away Saturday morning, March 24, 2012, at Athens Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Jordan was born in Hart County, April 6, 1946, to the late Paul Herman and Allie Winn Skelton. She was a former beautician, homemaker, and a member of Amazing Grace Missionary Baptist Church. Mrs. Jordan was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Left to cherish her memories are her husband of the home; four children and their spouses, Leslie and Dennis Jones of Elberton, Dana and Clay Rice of Elberton, Julie and Scott Franklin of Bowman, and Kevin and Beth Jordan of Bowman; six grandchildren and their spouses, Leighann and Chris Berry, Cory and Melissa Rice, Jake Franklin, Callen Rice, Josh Franklin, and Ali Jordan; and two sisters and spouse, Floyce Ridgway of Lawrenceville and Jeannetta and Bill Shipp of Winston. She is preceded in death by her siblings, John W. Skelton and Blanche Wheeler. Funeral services celebrating her life will be held at 2PM Monday, March 26, in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with the Revs. Harold Williams, Leon Pierce, and Wes Privett officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery with sons-in-law and grandsons serving as pallbearers. The Jordan family is at the residence, 2641 Quill Road, Bowman, and will receive friends at the funeral home from 5-7PM Sunday night. Expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, may be donations in her honor to Amazing Grace Missionary Baptist Church Building Fund, 3542 Bowman Highway, Royston, Georgia 30662 and condolences may be sent to the family at www.berryfh.com.
