Arthur Leroy Jones

Arthur Leroy Jones, 69, of 2848 Elberton Road Carlton, GA husband of Ann Harrison Jones died Friday February 5, 2010. Born in Elbert County, he was a son of the late Lester S. Jones and Lottie Ruff Jones. He was a member of Vesta Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon, he was a retired foreman from Keystone Memorials. Survivors include his wife of the home Ann Harrison Jones, daughter and son-in-law Gwen Jones Smith and Randy Smith, son Timothy Jones all of Carlton, GA, sisters Linda James of Darlington, MD, and Judy Adams of Elberton, GA, brothers Don Jones of Hartwell, GA, and Dan Jones of Elberton, GA, five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Sunday February 7, at 2PM at Vesta Baptist Church with Rev. Russell Bruce officiating. Burial will follow in Vesta Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will be at the home 2848 Elberton Rd. Carlton, GA and will receive friends from 6-9PM Saturday night at Berry Funeral Home. The body will be placed in the church to lie in state from 1-2PM Sunday just prior to the service. Deacons of Vesta Baptist Church will serve as pallbearers. Berry Funeral Home is in charge of the funeral arrangements for Mr. Arthur Leroy Jones.
