Barbara Cleveland Gailey, 65, of 1885 Harpers Ferry Road, Elberton, wife of Wayne Gailey, passed away Monday, April 11, 2011, at Elbert Memorial Hospital. Born in Elbert County, November 13, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Woodfin Embry Cleveland and Sara Prince Cleveland. She was a member of Ruckersville United Methodist Church, and was retried from the Elbert County School System where she was a Devoted Teacher and Administrator after 42 years of dedication of helping children and the youth. Left to cherish her memories are husband of the home, Wayne Gailey; daughter and son-in-law, Heather G. and DJ Nestor; sons and daughters-in-law, Howard and Cara Gailey and Sid and Holli Gailey all of Elberton; and seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Embry Dennis Cleveland. Funeral services celebrating her life will be held Friday, April 15, 2011, at 3:30PM at the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with Rev. Al Davis and Rev. Billy Pittman officiating. Burial will follow in Ruckersville United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will be at the home of Sid and Holli Gailey 422 Heard Street, and will receive friends from 6-9PM Thursday night at Berry Funeral Home. Pallbearers will include Rick Prince, Mark Fuller, Lane Eaton, Wayne Childs, Gene Childs, Rusty Childs, and Bubba Childs. The family has requested please in lieu of flowers to make memorials in her honor to Ruckersville United Methodist Church, 2189 Ruckersville Road, Elberton, Georgia 30635.
