Betty Ann Kennedy Saylors, 75, of 688 Flat Shoal Road, Bowersville, died Sunday, October 07, 2012, at her daughter's home surrounded by her loving family. Born September 11, 1937, in Franklin County, she was the daughter of the late Norman Yewell and Mae Bell Sewell Kennedy. She as a homemaker and dedicated her life to the love and care of her family. She was well known for her great southern cooking and love of gardening. Her love and generosity was beyond measure. She never met a stranger and will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Survivors include four daughters, Debra Risner of Royston, Brenda Hill of Dewy Rose, Sharon Wright of Hartwell and Sandra Stone of Bowersville; one son, Randy Saylors of Bowersville; former spouse and father of her children, Ray Saylors; siblings, John Kennedy of Canon, Stanley Kennedy of Royston, and Carolyn McCurley of Lawrenceville; ten grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by siblings, Nell Fuller, Frances McKern, and Merrill Kennedy. Funeral services celebrating her life will be held Wednesday, October 10, at 2PM in the Flat Shoals Baptist Church with the Revs. Michael Fugate and Johnny Ashworth officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at 1PM where the family will receive friends until the service hour. The family is at the home of Sandra Stone, 612 Flat Shoal Road, Bowersville. Flowers are optional and memorials may be made to the family.
