Mr. Bradley Michael Eavenson, 31, of Sanders Road, Elberton, passed away on Friday, February 14, 2014, in Newton County as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Mr. Eavenson was born in Anderson, South Carolina on September 22, 1982, to Michael Lee and Judy Veal Eavenson. He was a Fireman and EMT for Newton County and Barrow County and, along with Steven Casey, owned and operated Southern Outdoor Services. Brad was a member of Concord United Methodist Church, the Elberton Elks Lodge, and Fire and Iron Motorcycle Club. He was an avid outdoorsman who throughly enjoyed hunting and fishing. Brad will forever be remembered as a loving and devoted father, son, brother, and friend. Left to cherish his memories are his son, Brayden Michael Eavenson of Elberton; girlfriend, MaKenzie Breland of Clemson, South Carolina; parents, Mike and Judy Eavenson of Elberton; sister, Hannah Williams and her husband Austin of Elberton; nephew, Landon Williams; grandparents, Norman Eavenson of Elberton, Barbara and Hewell Pass of Winterville, and Royce and Jane Veal of Hartwelll; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He is preceded in death by grandmother, Liz Eavenson. Funeral services celebrating his life will be held on Monday, February 17, at 11:00a.m. from the First Baptist Church of Elberton with the Revs. Ric Veal and Kenny Martin officiating. Interment, will full Fireman's Honors, will follow in the Concord United Methodist Church Cemetery. Brad will lie in state for one hour prior to the service at the church. Elbert County EMTs and Firemen will serve as honorary escort. The family is at the home of Mike and Judy Eavenson, 2754 Hoke Dickerson Road, Elberton, and will receive friends at Berry Funeral Home from 5:00-8:00p.m. on Sunday evening.
