Thomson, GA – Mr. Calvin Lee Young, 67, entered into rest September 4, 2018.

Mr. Young was born in Elberton, Georgia, but moved to Thomson in 1972. He was a retired Tech Representative for ITW Paslode and the owner/operator of Young’s Imports. Mr. Young was a Baptist by faith and enjoyed working on vehicles and studying the Bible. He was predeceased by his father Lester Lee Young. Survivors include his beloved wife of 48 years, Marie Holbrooks Young; three daughters, Camille Young Rodgers (Jeff) of Thomson, GA, Sonya Young of Marietta, GA, and Christian Young Rivera (Ian) of Evans, GA; mother, Louise Young of Elberton, GA; brothers, Daniel Young (Lisa) of Iva, SC, Joel Young (Patsy) of Elberton, GA, and Michael Young (Angie) of Danielsville, GA; sisters, Debra Pulliam (Ed) of Toccoa, GA and Glenda Dixon (Bill) of Tennessee; and 2 grandchildren, Sara Rodgers and Kyle Rodgers.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, September 7, 2018 in the Beggs Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larron Pilgrim and Rev. Randall Whitaker officiating. Pallbearers will be Cliatt Quarles, C. J. Quarles, Mike Neal, David Swint, Tim Shelton and Randy Black. Honorary pallbearers will be the First Baptist Church, Thomson Men’s Outreach Sunday school class. Interment will follow in Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens.

Friends may call the residence of Camille and Jeff Rodgers, 4001 Whiteoak Rd., Thomson, GA or from 6 until 8 p.m. on Thursday, September 6, 2018 at the funeral home.
