Carl "Spag" Clayton Spagnoli, 81, of 106 Bowers Street, Royston, husband of Maureen Spagnoli, passed away Saturday, October 20, 2012, at his residence. Carl was born February 7, 1931 in New Bedford, Massachusetts to the late Theodore and Etta Sherman Spagnoli. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Maureen Burgess Spagnoli and four children; sons Donald Spagnoli of Athens, Georgia, Bruce Spagnoli of Anderson, South Carolina and Brian Spagnoli of Royston, Georgia; daughter Carleen Spagnoli Banevicz of Royston, Georgia; eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and his faithful feline friend Freddy Fur Face. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his four siblings. After moving to Royston, Georgia in 1975 he with his son Brian founded Spags' Cabinets which is still being operated by Brian. His hobbies were Ham Radio(K04DW) designing equipment for a handicapped friend, riding his motorcycles, fishing and traveling. He and his wife Maureen toured in a little RV to every contiguous state and every Provence and territory of Canada, from Key West to the Arctic Circle to St. John's Newfoundland Border State Park near San Diego, California. He enjoyed fixing things-houses, cars, electronics or his boat and making them best suit his needs. He was a good man who will be surely missed by family and friends.
