Charles Clyde Turner, 75, of 2261 Lexington Highway, Elberton, husband of Florence Brady Turner, passed away Monday, November 29, 2010, at his residence. Mr. Turner was born in Oglethorpe County, December 20, 1934, son of the late Sidney L. and Annie Mae Lance Turner. He was a member of the Vesta Baptist Church and was a retired installer with AT&T. Survivors include his wife, Florence Brady Turner of the residence; daughters and sons-in-law, Cindy T. and Rusty Lyon and Debbie T. and Tony Greenway, all of Elberton; seven grandchildren; and one sister, Nell T. Poss of Elberton. A Celebration of Life will be at 11AM Wednesday, December 1, 2010, in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with the Reverend Russell Bruce officiating. Burial will follow in Elmhurst Cemetery. The family is at the home of Rusty and Cindy Lyon, 2263 Lexington Highway in Elberton and will receive friends from 6-8PM Tuesday night at Berry Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Vesta Baptist Church Youth Group, 35 New Hope Vesta Road, Carlton, Georgia 30627. Pallbearers will include Tony Greenway, Rusty Lyon, Mark Bridges, Eddy Hall, Curtis Algood, Bill Holloman. Terry Rousey and Jason Smith will serve as honorary pallbearers.
