Charles William Allen

Mr. Charles William Allen, 60, of Elberton, passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2017, at St. Mary’s Sacred Heart Hospital in Lavonia.

Mr. Allen was born in Elbert County on October 31, 1956, son of the late Fred Odister and Mary Kate Allen. He was retired from the maintenance department at Pilgrim’s Pride.

Left to cherish his memories are his daughter, Anasthasia Dempsey of Athens; siblings and their spouses: Bobby Allen, Joe Lewis White, Melvin and Lola Allen, Anita Allen Ellzey, Donna and James Calhoun, Shirley and Henry Ladson, Janice Sapp, Brenda Brown and Harrison Allen; stepchildren: Quatanjula Oliver, Antonio Hatten and Tanya Butler and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Stark Allen.

Funeral services celebrating his life will be held on Saturday, February 4, at 1:00p.m. in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends at Berry Funeral Home from 6:00-7:00p.m. on Friday, February 3.
