Charlotte Anne Garrett Sawyer

Mrs. Charlotte Anne (Garrett) Sawyer, age 67 of Calhoun Falls, died on Wednesday in the Self Regional Medical Center. She was born on April 1, 1943, a daughter of the late David Young Garrett and Edna Emmaline White Garrett. Mrs. Sawyer was an educator and guidance counselor in the Abbeville County School System, having taught several years at Abbeville High and then for 20 years at Calhoun Falls Elementary School. Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Renee' and Roy McCaslan and Joanna and Craig Leifeld; god son, Roy Turman; 6 grandchildren and a great-granddaughter; 3 step-children and 4 step-grandsons. Visitation with the family will be on Friday, April 1, 2011 at the Solid Rock Community Church, 221 West Savannah Street in Calhoun Falls from 11AM until the service hour. A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Sawyer will begin at 12noon on Friday at the Solid Rock Community Church with Rev. Jerry Dalton and Rev. Johnny Waller officiating.
