Cheryl Lynn Nicholas Bellew

Ms. Cheryl Lynn Nicholas Bellew, 56, of Carlton, passed away on Wednesday, May 1, 2019, at Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital.

Cheryl was born in Gateway, West Virginia on November 30, 1962, daughter of the late Francis Duck Nicholas and Shirley Corrine McCumbers Nicholas. She was a sales clerk having worked at Fred’s and a member of New Town Baptist Church. Cheryl was a kind and loving mother and enjoyed playing with her grandchildren who lovingly referred to her as Nanny.

Survivors include her children: Linda Pounds, Kristy Roberts, and Gerrette Bellew; siblings: Betty King, Carol Bellew, Ronnie Nicholas, and Debbie Nicholas; and grandchildren: Logan Pounds, Elizabeth Bellew, Lacey Roberts, Jacob Bellew, and Paisley Roberts.

Funeral services celebrating her life will be held on Saturday, May 4, at 11 o’clock in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Carlton City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Berry Funeral Home for one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
