Connie Williams Black

Mrs. Connie Claudine Williams Black, 79, of Montevideo Rd., Elberton wife of James Edward "Ed" Black passed away Tuesday, May 30, 2017.

Mrs. Black was born February 26, 1938 in Elberton, GA to Norman Williams and Ruth Smith Williams.

Survivors include her husband James Edward "Ed" Black; sons: Kenneth Drane, Leonard Drane, Steve Drane all of Elberton, GA; daughters: Shaye Goletz, Sherry Black both of Elberton, GA; sister: Norma Jane Williams of Elberton, GA; eleven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son Robert Drane.

Funeral services to celebrate her life will be held 11AM, Friday, June 2 in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with Rev. Leon Suttles officiating. Interment will follow in Coldwater United Methodist Church Cemetery with Logan Vickery, Greg Sanders, Johnathon Black, Chuck Black, Bruce Freeland and Jeff Sanders serving as pallbearers. The family will be at 1071 Brewers Bridge Rd. and will receive friends from 10-11AM Friday at Berry Funeral Home just before the service.

Flowers are optional and memorials can be made in her memory to a charity of one's choice.
