Corda Atkinson Hurt

Corda Atkinson Hurt, 91, widow of the late Hubert Hurt passed away Saturday, June 29, 2013 at Hartwell Healthcare in Hartwell, Georgia. Born December 26, 1921 in Monticello, Kentucky to the late Henry Atkinson and Liela Harmon Hurt. She was a homemaker. Left to cherish her memories are daughters Judie Landrum of Elberton, Georgia and Jean Moulder of Calhoun, Georgia; sister Ladona Turner of Kentucky; brother Jessie Atkinson of Lindon, Alabama; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a brother Kenneth Atkinson. The family will receive friend from 9am-10am on Monday, July 1, 2013 at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 1, 2013 at 10 am with Bro. Ernest Mann officiating. Burial will follow in the Elk Spring Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Keen's Chapel United Methodist Church.
