Dale Edward Lyman

Mr. Dale Edward Lyman, proprietor of Lake Russell Vineyard, passed away on Monday, May 9, 2022, at his Lake Russell home, following a brief but courageous battle with cancer. He was 73.

Born in Endiott, New York on May 24, 1948, he was a son of the late Edwin Justin Lyman and Myrtle Eunice Nichols Lyman. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Elberton.

Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Helen Frances Decker Lyman; children and their spouses: Michael Thomas Lyman and Emily of Sanford, Maine, Justin Wright Lyman and Christina of Kenosha, Wisconsin, Joseph Winfield Lyman and Amy of Rochester, New York, and Allison DesRochers Lyman of Elberton, Georgia; sister, Susan Alice Smith of Port St. Lucie, Florida; grandchildren: Eva, Charlotte, Adeline, Clayton, Roxanna, Amaya, Kailin, and Macie; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings: James Justin Lyman, Patricia Gail Keefauver, and Diane Elaine Apalovich.

A Celebration of Dale’s life will be held on Sunday morning, May 15, at 10 o’clock at Lake Russell Vineyard, 2401 Pine Ridge Drive, Elberton, Georgia 30635.

Flowers are accepted and contributions may be made in his memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 53 Perimeter Center E Suite 100, Atlanta, GA 30346.
