Donald "Don" Ray Henson

Mr. Donald "Don" Ray Henson, 66, of St. Michael Dr., Lavonia, GA passed away Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at his home.

Mr. Henson was born June 11, 1951 in Blytheville, AR to Newt Henson and Willie Mae Hensley Cleveland. He was a retired AC Technician, who loved the outdoors. He was a wonderful father, grandfather, loving husband and uncle.

He is survived by his wife: Dianne Slayton Henson; sons and daughters: Scott Henson of Greenville, SC; Stacie Sutton of Greenville, SC; Heather Henson of Lavonia, GA; Chris Nations of Macon, GA; Ashley Kennedy of AR; sisters: Rita Mae Brown and Paulette Knapp both of AR; fifteen grandchildren: Blaine Young, Dustin Sutton, Dyllon Sutton, Taylor Henson, Chandler Henson, Jackson Henson, Parker Henson, Millie Henson, Drake Kelley, Makenzie Henson, Krystal Doss, Conner Kennedy, Trevor Kennedy; and three great-grandchildren: Noah Young, Zoey Young and Blaine Young, Jr.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister: Barbara Jean Haynes.

Memorial services to celebrate his life will be held 2PM, Saturday, October 14, 2017 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
