Donald Kurt Brown

Mr. Donald ‘Kurt’ Brown, 40, of Bowman, passed away on Saturday, January 1, 2022, in Anderson, Indiana.

Kurt was born in Augusta on November 7, 1981, but lived the majority of his life in Elbert County. He was a carpenter by trade, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and working on race cars.

Survivors include his daughter, Miranda Hogan; mother, Opal Regina Scott Brown; siblings: Derrick Brown, Lance Brown, and Denise Brown Faulkner; and grandson, Chase Hogan. He is preceded in death by his father, Travis Brown; paternal grandparents, Noah Donald and Marien Smith Brown; and maternal grandparents, Paul Edward and Amanda Campbell Scott.

Funeral services celebrating his life will be held on Thursday, January 13, at 1 o’clock in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with the Rev. Jim Howard officiating. Interment will follow in Vineyards Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Berry Funeral Home from 12:-12:45p.m. on Thursday.
