Donna Anderson Rucker

Mrs. Donna Anderson Rucker, 66, Middleton Church Rd. Elberton, GA passed away Sunday, February 19, 2023 at her home surrounded by her family.

Mrs. Rucker was born March 21, 1956 in Elberton, GA to Joel Harris Anderson, Sr. and Shirley Ruth Blackmon Anderson. She attended Calvary Baptist Church and worked at Elbert Memorial Hospital for over 44 years in many capacities with her most recent in central sterile of the operating department.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Henry L. Rucker of the home; daughters and sons-in-law: Jennifer and Jeremy Partain of Elberton, Andrea and Jason Marlow of Elberton; mother: Shirley Ruth Blackmon Anderson of Elberton and grandchildren: Alex Marlow, Ashton Rousey, Jaleigh Partain, Aiken Marlow, Juliette Partain and Joyanna Partain.

In addition to her father she was preceded in death by grandchildren: Julianna Grace, Jake and two infant baby angels and her brother: Joel Harris Anderson, Jr.

Funeral services to celebrate her life will be held 2PM, Tuesday, February 21 in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Adams officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park with Alex Marlow, Aiken Marlow, Ray Anderson, Jay Anderson, Alan “Pete” Higginbotham, Chris Furtick and Jason Floyd serving as pallbearers.

The family is at the home on Middleton Church Rd. and will receive friends from 6PM to 8PM Monday night at Berry Funeral Home.
