Donna Lynn Mize Childs

Mrs. Donna Lynn Mize Childs, 57, of Parkwood Drive, Elberton, wife of Steve Lanier Childs, passed away on Friday, March 17, 2017, at her residence.

Mrs. Childs was born in Elbert County on May 1, 1959, daughter of the late Robert Wilford “Butch” Mize, Jr. and Martha Judy Fain Mize. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church of Elberton.

Surviving are her husband, Steve of the home; children: Brandi and Kenneth Brown, Brannon Childs, Lexi Childs, and Hunter Childs; siblings: Charlene and Charlie Brown and Robert W. “Bubba” Mize, III; grandsons: Rylan Brown and Brant Brown, all of Elberton; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will hold a memorial service celebrating Donna’s life on Sunday, March 19, at 2 o’clock in the Fortsonia Baptist Church with the Rev. Al Butler officiating.
