Elbert Marion Rucker, Jr.

Elbert Marion Rucker, Jr., 54, of 3087 Highway 81, Oxford, Georgia, passed away Thursday, September 20, 2012, at Athens Regional Medical Center. Mr. Rucker was born in Augusta, August 20, 1958, to the late Elbert M. Rucker, Sr. and Susan Bell Rucker. He was self-employed in lawn care. Left to cherish his memories are his son, Joey Atkins of Hilton Head, South Carolina; daughter, Casey Rucker of Colbert; sisters, Lee Hendry of Elberton and Ginny Reed of Elberton; two nieces; and two nephews. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Cindy Rucker. Memorial services celebrating his life will be held at 11AM Saturday, October 27, in the Vans Creek Baptist Church.
