Ellen Louise Norman

Mrs. Ellen Louise Cade Norman was born on October 12th, 1934 and entered into eternal rest on December 1st, 2020. She was born to the late Bennie Cade and Lavonia Huff Cade in Elberton, GA. She was the 12th child of 13.

Ellen was employed in the healthcare field, working at Nancy Hart Nursing Home before moving to Heardmont Nursing Home where she retired. She loved her job and being able to care for the residents. She took part in Fortson Grove Music Ministry at Heardmont. She also had a community choir on Old Middleton Road. The kids that are now adults were all family and also share in this loss.

Ellen was a member of Fortson Grove Baptist Church where she was a choir member and served on the Mother’s Board as well as an advisor to the Youth Department for a number of years.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 64 years, Willie Norman, Sr.; five sons: Johnny (Cathy) Norman, Willie (Flo) Norman, Jr., Kenneth (Carolyn) Norman, Keith (Lucille) Norman, and Stacey (Pam) Norman. She also leaves a special person to her, Carrie McDuffie, a neighbor and friend for 48 years.

She was the PROUD grandmother to Brannon, Greg, April, Christopher, Sharayah, Cyteria, Jala, and Blake. great-grandmother to Jeremiah, Logan, Nyla, Lil Rob, Jalen, and Gabriel. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services to celebrate her life will be held 2PM on Saturday, December 5, 2020, in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home. Social distancing will be in place and face masks are required. Interment will follow in Lincoln Heights Cemetery.
