Eva G. Brown Herring, 79, of 1094 Country Club Road Elberton, GA. widow of the late William Billy Herring died Saturday May 15, 2010 at Athens Regional Medical Center. Born in Elbert Country, she was a daughter of the late David Cecil Brown Sr., and Clyde Caldwell Brown. She was a member of the Elberton First Baptist Church, The Lady's Auxiliary (Elbert Memorial Hospital), Senior Adult Ministry (First Baptist Church), Marie Cleveland Circle Mission Group ,and retired from Pinnacle Bank. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law Bruce and Debbie Herring of Elberton, GA. son Barry Herring of Elberton GA., brother Parks H. Brown of Athens GA., sisters Lucey Gomez and Mary Joe Pleasants both of Elberton Ga. and sister - in- law Mary Brown of Elberton GA. 3 Grandchildren Daniel and Brookeanna Herring, Tyler Herring and Lindsay Herring. She was preceded in death by a sister Prances Murdock and brother David Brown. Funeral services will be held Monday May 17, 2010 at 3 PM at the Elberton First Baptist Church with Rev. Ken Whitfield, Rev. Connie Ivester and Tyler Herring officiating. Burial will follow in Elmhurst Cemetery. The family is at the home and will receive friends from 1 to 3 PM just prior to the service at the church. Pallbearers include: Mark Brown, Mike Brown, Park Brown Jr., Daniel Herring, Tyler Herring, Bob Gomez. The family has asked please no flowers and memorial may be made in her honor to the Lady's Auxiliary (Elbert Memorial Hospital) or to the Elberton First Baptist Church. Berry Funeral Home is in charge of the funeral arrangements for Mrs. Eva Brown Herring.
