Faye Diamond Martin

Faye Diamond Martin, 93, of Arcadia, FL died Thursday January 28, 2010. Born in Cedartown, GA to the late Wylie and Effie Brannon Diamond. Faye moved to Arcadia in 1971 from Hamlet, NC. She was a homemaker, she loved cooking and providing a safe and comfortable home for her family to come to at the end of the day. She enjoyed reading, working crossword puzzles, and entering contests. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Arcadia, FL. She is survived by her son and daughter in law Eddy W. and Grace Martin of Arcadia, FL, grandchildren Anne and Richard Longenecker, Mary and Jeff Lee, and Alexander and Melissa Martin, great grandchildren Richie and Lindsay Longenecker, Sarah and Joshua Longenecker, Steven, Kristina, and Christopher Manus, Nicholas Martin, and a great-great-grandchild Cayden Manus. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 64 years George William Martin. The family will receive friends from 9:30AM until 11AM Monday February 1, at Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home Chapel in Arcadia, FL. Funeral services will be held 11AM Monday February 1 at Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Longenecker officiating. Graveside funeral services will be held at Elmhurst Cemetery in Elberton, GA Thursday February 4, at 1PM.
