Faye Harriet Hall West

Mrs. Faye Harriet Hall West, 85, of Rehoboth Road, Bowman, wife of Howard Eugene West, passed away on Friday, July 30, 2021, at Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital.

Mrs. West was born in Elbert County on September 12, 1935, daughter of the late John Brooks Hall and Eunice Booth Hall. She was a member of Rehoboth Baptist Church and a cow and poultry farmer. Faye had a passion for her family history as well as the history of Elbert County. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and a former Red Hats member.

Survivors, in addition to her husband, include her children: Jean and Walter Pruitt of Toccoa, Rayne and Jerry Maxwell of Greenwood, SC, and Hall and Maranda West of Bowman; eleven grandchildren; twenty one great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by siblings: Sara Jo “Sadie” Hall, Charlotte Gaulden, T.O. Hall, and Johnny Hall.

Funeral services celebrating her life will be held on Monday, August 2, at 2 o’clock at Rehoboth Baptist Church with the Rev. Gary Purvis officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family is at the residence and will receive friends at the church from 1:00-1:45p.m. on Monday prior to the service.
