Frances Thornton Johnson

Mrs. Frances Louise Thornton Johnson, 90, of Pine Hill Dr., Elberton, wife of 52 years the late John Thomas Johnson passed away Thursday, November 23, 2017 at Spring Valley Nursing Home.

Mrs. Johnson was born January 11, 1927 in Elberton, GA to Herbert Thornton and Sally Lou Dickerson Thornton. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church and was a homemaker.

She is survived by sons and daughter-in-law: Wayne and Lynn Johnson; Jerry Johnson all of Elberton, GA; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a son: Dallas Johnson; daughter: Beverly Jean Johnson; daughter-in-law: Carolyn Johnson; brothers: Omar Thornton and Frank Thornton.

Funeral services to celebrate her life will be held 11AM, Saturday, November 25 in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Adams and Rev. Kenny Martin officiating. The family will receive friends from 10-11AM just before the service at Berry Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Elmhurst Cemetery.

Flowers are optional and memorials may be made in her memory to a charity of one's choice.
