George E. Wilder

George "Buck" E. Wilder, 67, of 1214 Country Club Road Elberton, died Monday October 4, 2010 at Athens Regional Medical Center in Athens, GA. Born in Elbert County he was a son of Mozelle Brady Wilder and the late James Floyd Wilder. He was a member of Northside Baptist Church, he was retired from the granite industry and he served as a medic in the GA National Guard. Survivors include his children daughter Leslie Simpson of Elberton, GA, sons and daughter-in-laws Glenn and Mary Wilder of Clifford, PA, and Lynn and Kendra Wilder of Carrollton, TX ,his mother Mozelle Brady Wilder of Elberton, GA, brother and sister-in-law Kenneth D. and Doris Wilder of Elberton, GA, sister Christine W. Ray of Rochelle, GA, five grandchildren, five nephews and three nieces. Memorial services will be held Saturday October 9, at 3PM at the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Adams officiating. Burial will follow in Elmhurst Cemetery. The family will be at the home 1214 Country Club Road and will receive friends from 2-3PM Saturday just prior to the service at Berry Funeral Home. The family has requested please in lieu of flowers to make memorials in his honor to the American Cancer Society or to a charity of one's choice. Berry Funeral Home is respectfully in charge of the funeral arrangements for Mr. George "Buck" E. Wilder.
