George Wesley Brownlee, Jr.

Mr. George Wesley Brownlee, Jr., 66, of Elberton, GA passed away on Sunday, August 15, 2021, at High Shoals Health & Rehab in Bishop, GA.

Mr. Brownlee was born on September 8, 1954, in Elberton, GA to George Wesley Brownlee, Sr. and Marie Olga Wise Brownlee. He was a member of Bowman Church of God and was retired from the City of Elberton Public Works after 20 years of service.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Michelle Dean Brownlee of Elberton, GA; siblings: James Brownlee of Watkinsville, GA, Joan Alder of Spindale, NC, and Sandra Baird of Commerce, GA; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings: John Wesley Brownlee, Bobby Brownlee, Faye Sager, Jerry Brownlee, and Margaret Pierce.

Funeral services celebrating his life will be held 11AM on Wednesday, August 18, in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Edwards officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park with Darrell Brownlee, Gabe Brownlee, Joseph Baird, Lee Jordan and Ricky Farmer serving as pallbearers.

The family is at their respective homes and will receive friends at Berry Funeral Home from 10:00-10:45a.m. on Wednesday prior to the service.
