Geraldine Thomas Argo, 80, of 553 Elberton Road, Lexington, Georgia, wife of Eugene Argo, passed away Monday, November 19, 2012, at St. Mary's Hospice House. Mrs. Argo was born in Oglethorpe County, October 18, 1932, to the late Edgar Lee Thomas and Lucy Caldwell Thomas. She was a lifelong resident of Oglethorpe County, a retired Register Nurse, and a founding member of Elberton Christian Church. Left to cherish her memories are her husband of 56 years, Eugene Argo; daughters and sons-in-law, Lynette and Ken Ritch of Concord, Georgia and Suzette and Rodney Blount of Waktinsville, Georgia; son and daughter-in-law, Kim and Anna Argo of Winterville, Georgia; sister, Gladys T. Smith of Lexington, Georgia; brother, Lowell Thomas of Powder Springs, Georgia; and grandchildren, Jessica Blount, James Blount, Kelly Blount-Smith and husband James, Austin Argo, Lance Argo, and Nathan Ritch. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a sister, Edna T. Moon. Funeral services celebrating her life will be held at 2PM Wednesday, November 21, in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with the Revs. Bill Eaton and Jay Akin officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park with grandsons and Leslie Smith honored as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at Berry Funeral Home from 12-2PM Wednesday, prior to the service.
