Gurvis Ann Brown

Mrs. Gurvis Ann Turner Brown, 73, of Anderson Highway, Elberton, wife of 45 years to Sanders B. Brown, Jr., passed away on Tuesday, October 25, 2016, at Elbert Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Brown was born in Elbert County on April 7, 1943, daughter of the late Homer Coy Turner, Sr. and Amy Elizabeth Bond Turner. She was a seamstress having worked at Elberton Manufacturing and a member of Rock Branch Baptist Church. She enjoyed collecting dolls and watching hummingbirds.

Surviving are her husband, Sanders B. Brown, Jr. of the home; son, Craig Brown of Elberton; siblings: Peggy Turner of Riverdale and Coy Turner of Elberton; and nieces and nephews and beloved pet Jake.

The funeral service celebrating her life will be held on Saturday, October 29, at 11 o’clock from the graveside in Rock Branch Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Ken Wright officiating.

The family is at the residence of Craig Brown, Anderson Highway, Elberton, and will receive friends at Berry Funeral Home from 7:00-9:00p.m. on Friday evening.
