Henry "Grady" Mills, 83, resident of 6092 Hwy. 28 N. Iva, SC husband of Helen Wilson Mills passed away Monday June 27, 2011 at Hospice of the Piedmont, Hospice House in Greenwood, SC. Born in Elbert Co. Georgia on May 13, 1928 he was a son of the late William Rucker Mills and Lois Rice Mills. Grady retired from Anderson Auto Parts with over 47 years of service. He was a Mason and a member of the Clinton Lodge #3 AM. He was also a Shriner and a member of the Hejaz Shrine Temple in Greenville, SC and was also a member of the Abbeville Shrine Club. He attended Midway Baptist Church. Survivors include his beloved wife of the home Helen Wilson Mills; grandchildren Tiffany Mills and Don Mills both of Abbeville, SC; 1 sister Bettie Albertson of Elberton, Georgia; 2 great-grandchildren; 3 step-children Tina Pruitt, Gloria Rankin Jones and Gene Pruitt; 8 step-grandchildren and several step-great-grandchildren. He was twice married first to the late Helen Hammonds Mills. He was also preceded in death by a son Grady Donald Mills and 3 sisters Jewell Madden, Reba Higginbotham and Eunice Hughes and 1 brother W.R. Mills. Graveside services will be conducted Wednesday June 29, 2011 at 2:00 PM in Long Cane Cemetery with the Rev.'s Bill Ellison and Patsy Voyles officiating. The family is at their respective homes. Memorials in memory of Grady may be made to Shriners Children's Hospital 950 West Faris Rd. Greenville, SC 29605 or Hospice of the Piedmont 408 West Alexander Ave. Greenwood, SC 29646.
