Mr. Hubert Jackson Pless, 69, of Harmony Road, Elberton, husband of 50 years to Wanda Lee Raines Pless, passed away on Sunday, August 10, 2014, at Elbert Memorial Hospital. Mr. Pless was born in Stephens County on August 5, 1945, to the late Rev. Oscar Cecil Pless and Lathey Young Pless. He was retired from the granite industry and was of the Holiness faith. Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Wanda Lee Raines Pless of the home; two children: Tamara Lynn "Tammy" Pless Rudder and Michael Shane Pless and Debbie Segars, all of Elberton; three grandchildren: Tierra Rudder, Traci Rudder, and Brayden Segars; four great-grandchildren; twin brother, Roy Lee and his wife Mae Pless of Elberton; sisters: Hannah Mae Brown and Jeanette and her husband Clifford Shepherd, all of Elberton; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by siblings: Geneva Duncan, Cecil Pless, and Jimmy Pless. Funeral services celebrating his life will be held on Wednesday, August 13, at 11:00a.m. in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with the Revs. Milford Duncan and Roland Molina officiating. Interment will follow in Elmhurst Cemetery with Kenneth Ward, Terry Pless, Brayden Segars, Seth Bilas, Marlow Brown, and Marty Bagwell honored as pallbearers. The family is at the residence and will receive friends at Berry Funeral Home from 7:00-9:00p.m. on Tuesday evening.
