James Patrick Ward

Mr. James Patrick Ward, 94, of Hickory Drive, Elberton, husband of the late Marguerite Butler Ward and the late Flora Butler Blount Ward, passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2015, at Elbert Memorial Hospital. Mr. Ward was born in Elbert County on September 18, 1920, to the late Albert and Estelle Craft Ward. He was a member of Harmony Baptist Church, Elberton VFW, and a Philomathea Mason of Cobb County Low Twelve Club, and retired from Georgia Power. He served his country in the U.S. Army. Left to cherish his memories are his sister, Joann Hooten of Decatur and a host of nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wives, he is preceded in death by his brother, Donald F. Ward. Mr. Ward's wishes were to be cremated and a memorial service will be held 3PM, Sunday, March 29, at Harmony Baptist Church with Rev. Lynn Kellum officiating. Inurnment will be in Elmhurst Cemetery.
