Jane Parham Mckinney

Mrs. Jane Parham McKinney, 79, of Hartwell Highway, Elberton, entered into rest on Monday, December 12, 2016, at Gentiva Hospice at Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital.

Mrs. McKinney was born in Elbert County on September 17, 1937, daughter of the late Clarence “Snog” and Willie David Borders Parham. She was a retired seamstress and a member of Ruckersville United Methodist Church and Beta Sigma Phi.

Left to cherish her memories are her daughter and son-in-law, Denise “DeeDee” and Bobby Roberts; son and daughter-in-law, David and Rhonda Cleveland, all of Elberton; step-children: Patty Jo and Norris Thompson, Debra Kay Daniels, and Toby Dean McKinney, all of Kentucky; six grandchildren: Tyler Roberts, Sgt. Thomas Clark, II and his wife Jessica, Katie Lynn Cleveland Murray and her husband Dustin, Dakota Clay Weeks, Niki Thompson, and Elijah Boone Daniels; two great-grandchildren, Braylynn Faith Murray and Olivia Clark; and several nieces and nephews.

The last surviving member of her family, she is preceded in death by her parents; husband of 12 years and father of her children, Embry Dennis Cleveland; husband of 33 years, Thomas Dean McKinney; and siblings: Edward Parham, Clarence Parham, Jr., Faye Fortson, and Jackie Parham.

The family is at the residence of DeeDee and Bobby Roberts and will receive friends at Berry Funeral Home from 6:00-8:00p.m. on Wednesday, December 14, 2016. Private graveside services will be held on Thursday, December 15, 2016, in Elmhurst Cemetery with the Rev. Joe Watson officiating.

Flowers are optional; memorials may be made in her memory to the United Methodist Children’s Home, 500 S. Columbia Drive, Decatur, GA 30030.
