Mrs. Janis Hewell Albertson, 61, of Old Middleton Road, Elberton, wife of Paul H. Albertson, passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2014, at her residence. Mrs. Albertson was born in Elbert County on February 19, 1952, to the late Thomas Alexander Hewell, Jr. and Robbie Jo McMullan Hewell. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Elberton, retired from Honeywell, and was currently employed by Star Granite Company as a secretary. Left to cherish her memories are her husband, Paul H. Albertson; children and their spouses, Ryan and Kristen Albertson and Joy and Billy Clark, all of Elberton; sisters and their husbands, Rhonda and James Adams and Betty and David Johnson, all of Elberton; grandchildren, Emma Kate Albertson and Nathaniel Harris Albertson; mother-in-law, Bettie Mills Albertson of Elberton; sister-in-law and her husband, Robin and Ronnie Garrison of Irmo, SC; brother-in-law, Bobby Kerns of Taylors, SC; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by father-in-law, F.H. Albertson, Jr.; and sister-in-law, Donna Kerns. Funeral services celebrating her life will be held on Friday, January 10, at 11:00a.m. in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with the Revs. Douglas Huff and Wade Dotson officiating. Interment will follow in Elmhurst Cemetery with Eric Dixon, Andy Dixon, Ric Dixon, A.J. Garrison, Dusty Garrison, and Travis Kerns honored as pallbearers. The family is at the residence on Old Middleton Road and will receive friends at Berry Funeral Home from 9:00-11:00a.m. on Friday morning.
