Jenelle Ruff Fulbright, 92, of 2117 Dr. George Ward Road, formerly of Jones Ferry Road, Elberton, wife of the late George W. Fulbright, passed away Friday morning, February 17, 2012, at Elbert Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Fulbright was born in Elbert County, March 2, 1919, daughter of the late William R. and Zada Fortson Ruff. She retired from the Elberton Silk Mill after 47 years of service and was a lifetime member of Falling Creek Baptist Church. Left to cherish her memories are her step-children, June Miller of Jefferson, Georgia, Patricia Fowler of Douglasville, Georgia, and Fred Fulbright of Sila City, North Carolina; sister, Martha Jo Haynes of Elberton; godson, Scott Smith of Elberton; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband she is preceded in death by one step-daughter, Juanita Dewberry; and fourteen brothers and sisters. Funeral services celebrating her life will be held at 4PM Sunday, February 19, in the Falling Creek Baptist Church with the Revs. Dwight Morgan and Harold Walters officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Scott Smith, Nathan Haynes, D.H. Miller, Billy Haynes, Jeff Haynes, and G.F. Massey serving as pallbearers. The Fulbright family is at their respective homes and will receive friends at Falling Creek Baptist Church from 2-4PM Sunday prior to the service.
