Jerry Mack Ray

Mr. Jerry Mack Ray, 81, of Peachtree Street, Elberton, GA passed away Thursday, November 1, 2018, at his home.

Mr. Ray was born June 23, 1937, in Elberton, GA to RoyBert Ray and Johnnie Smith Ray. He was of the Baptist Faith, a retired repairman from Southern Bell, and served his country in the National Guard.

He is survived by a son, Jerry Shane Ray of Flowery Branch, GA; daughter, Terri Ray of Athens, GA; sister, Judy Hudson of Lawrenceville, GA; brother, Charles Ray of Gray, GA; one grandchild, Austin Ray; numerous nieces and nephews; his beloved Peachtree Street family; and a special friend Ann Anderson Brown.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Rita Hand.

Memorial services to celebrate his life will be held 2PM, Wednesday, November 7 in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Adams officiating. Inurnment will be in Elmhurst Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-2PM just prior to the service at Berry Funeral Home. The family is at the home of Joan Thompson Almond, 402 Heard St. Elberton, GA.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in his memory to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
