Jimbo Rachels

James Edison "Jimbo" Rachels, 40, of Owens Road, Elberton, passed away Friday, September 30, 2011, at his residence of a tragic death. Mr. Rachels was born in Abbeville, South Carolina, October 10, 1970, son of the late Walter Julian Rachels and Sheila Izoria Stephens Rachels Childs. He was a carpenter and a loving brother and friend. Jimbo's passion and love was fishing - it was his peace on Earth. He is survived by two daughters, Kimberly and Stacy Rachels; brothers, Walter Darren Rachels, Welsey Frank Rachels, Robert Dennis Rachels, and John Marshall Rachels; and step-brothers and sisters, Marvin Childs, Wayne Childs, Gene Childs, Tammy Childs, and Tracy Childs. The family has chosen cremation, and memorial services celebrating his life will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2PM at West End Baptist Church with the Rev. Richard Fife officiating.
