In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two husbands: John Douglas Blackmon and Howard Edward “Bob” Newton; son-in-law, Tom Robinson; brother, Marcus Bridges; and sister, Mildred Hendrickson.

Funeral services celebrating her life will be held on Sunday, May 30, at 2 o’clock at First Baptist Church of Elberton with the Rev. Gary Purvis officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park.

The family is at the residence of Linda Robinson, Wildwood Drive, Elberton, and will receive friends from 1:00-1:45p.m. on Sunday in the church sanctuary.
