John B. Coogler, Jr.

John B. Coogler, Jr., 82, of 440 Highland Avenue, Elberton, husband of Julienne "Jackie" Wall Coogler, passed away Monday, February 18, 2013, at Landmark Hospital. Born August 19, 1930 in Elbert County to the late John B. Coogler, Sr. and Inez Johnson Coogler. He was a member of the Elberton First Baptist Church, a retired foreman from Boyd Granite Company, a member of the VFW and was in the National Guard for 27 years. Left to cherish his memories are his wife of the home Julienne "Jackie" Wall Coogler; daughter and son-in-law Vicki C. and Tim Evans of Elberton, Georgia; sisters Marie Coogler and Evie Coogler both of Elberton, Georgia; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son John Michael Coogler and a sister Marty Spires. Funeral services to celebrate his life will be held 2PM, Thursday February 21, 2013 in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with Reverend Richard Fife officiating. Interment will follow in Elmhurst Cemetery with Bill Childers, Bobby Jones, Dean Harris, Shane Evans, Michael Evans and Shane Johnson serving as pallbearers. The Coogler family is at the residence, 440 Highland Avenue and will receive friends from 1-2PM just prior to the service at Berry Funeral Home.
