John R. Willis

Mr. John R. Willis, 74, of Floyd Road, Dewy Rose, GA passed away Tuesday, November 18, 2014. Mr. Willis was born December 31, 1939 in Anderson, SC to the late Paul Willis and Rosa Nimmons Willis. He was retired from the textile industry. Left to cherish his memories are sons Joseph Willis and Randy Willis both of Elberton; daughters and son-in-laws Alicia and Billy Moon of Elberton; Pamela and Adam Butts of Elberton, GA and Delana Maxwell of Hartwell, GA; brother Vernon Willis of Elberton; thirteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son Travis Willis. Funeral services to celebrate his life will be held 11AM Saturday, November 22 in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with Rev. John Todd officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park with Joseph Willis, Billy Moon, Allen Bonds, Adam Butts, Mark Nash and David Willis honored as pallbearers. The Willis family will be at the home of his daughter and son-in-law Pamela and Adam Butts 1614 Valley View Dr. Elberton, GA and will receive friends from 6-8PM Friday night at Berry Funeral Home.
