Joseph Daniel Simmons

Mr. Joseph Daniel Simmons, 81, of Cade St. Hartwell, GA passed away Friday, November 20, 2015 at Hartwell Health and Rehab. Mr. Simmons was born March 18, 1933 in Madison County, GA to the late Willie D. Simmons and Hassie Hammonds Simmons. He was of the Baptist Faith and a retired stonecutter. Left to cherish his memories are daughters and son-in-law Wanda Smith of Hartwell, GA; Glenda and David Allen of Elberton, GA; brother Willie M. Simmons of Elberton, GA; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by son Joey Simmons; brothers Reese Simmons and Turnes Simmons; sisters Kathryn Boswell Bryant, Elizabeth Hutchinson, Myrtle Hall and Jimmie White. Mr. Simmons wishes were to be cremated and no services are planned at this time. Berry Funeral Home & Crematory, Elberton is respectfully in charge of the arrangements for Mr. Joseph Daniel Simmons.
