Joyce Moore Sanders

Mrs. Joyce Moore Sanders, 76, of Plantation Road, Elberton, entered into rest on Friday, August 12, 2016, at her residence.

Mrs. Sanders was born in Elbert County on June 22, 1940, daughter of the late Howard Issac Moore and Mina Janelle Adams Moore. She was a graduate of Elbert County High School and retired from the business office at Elbert Memorial Hospital. Joyce was a member of Concord United Methodist Church and Stephen Heard Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She enjoyed genealogy as well as collecting cookbooks.

Surviving are her children and their spouses: Cindy and Chuck Musciano of Newnan, Greg and Yvette Sanders of Elberton, and Janna and Shayne Bennett of Elberton; and grandchildren: Courtney Musciano, Coleton Musciano, Ashford Bennett, and Jude Sanders.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Howard Vernon Moore.

Funeral services celebrating her life will be held on Sunday, August 14, at 2 o’clock at Concord United Methodist Church with the Rev. Bryan Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family is at the residence of Greg and Yvette Sanders, Heard Street, and will receive friends at Concord United Methodist Church from 1:00-1:45pm. on Sunday prior to the service.
