Ms. Julia Anna "Julie" Johanson Poole, 48, of Pulliam Mill Road, Dewy Rose, passed away on Monday, May 19, 2014, at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Newnan. Ms. Poole was born in Marietta on October 29, 1965, to the late Karl Verner Johanson, Jr. and Gloria Canales Johanson. She was a member of Dewy Rose Baptist Church and employed by Wal-Mart of Elberton. Left to cherish her memories are her longtime companion, Kenny Rowland of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Ashley and Crystal Poole of Dewy Rose; siblings and their spouses: Karla and Jim Meeink of Sacramento, California, Lovisa and Earl Davis of Dewy Rose, Eric and Becky Johanson of Dewy Rose, Sammy and Cynthia Johanson of Bowman, and Linda and James Moon of Anderson; grandchildren: Hunter Poole and Gracie Poole; and several nieces and nephews. Julie is preceded in death by her parents and one nephew. Funeral services celebrating her life will be held on Saturday, May 24, at 11:00a.m. in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with the Rev. Kenny Martin officiating. Interment will follow in Elmhurst Cemetery. The family is at the home of Ashley and Crystal Poole, 869 Mewborn Road, Dewy Rose, and will receive friends at Berry Funeral Home from 6:00-8:00p.m. on Thursday evening. Flowers are optional; those desiring may make contributions in Ms. Poole's memory to the Cancer Treatment Centers of America.
