Kenneth Brown Rice

Mr. Kenneth “Kenny” Brown Rice, 72, of N. Broad St. Bowman, GA passed away Monday, July 19, 2021 at his home.

Mr. Rice was born July 23, 1948 in Royston, GA to Ralph Carlis Rice, Sr. and Annie Ruth Brown Rice. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, a retired paint and body repairman and school bus driver for the Elbert County School System. He was an avid GA Bulldog fan and was known for having the perfect hair and prettiest hairless legs. He started the fire department in Bowman where he was a volunteer firefighter.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law: Kenyon B. Rice and Donna Rice of Bowman, GA, daughter: Kimberly A. Rice and her fiancé Jesse Owensby of Elberton, GA, brother: Billy Rice of Elberton, GA, grandchildren: Mackenzie Rice, Amberly Owensby, great-grandson Kayden Rice and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by siblings: Ralph Carlis Rice, Jr., Jean Seymour, Joyce Chastain, Alice Dye and Beth Anderson.

Memorial services will be held 2PM, Thursday, July 22 in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1PM to 2PM just prior to the service at Berry Funeral Home.

The family is at the home on N. Broad St. Bowman, GA.
