Mr. Fred Kenneth Seymour, 81, of 110 Butler Street, Iva, SC, formerly of Highland Drive, Elberton, GA, husband of the late Jean Rice Seymour, passed away on Saturday, October 12, 2013, at the Rainey Hospice House in Anderson, SC. Mr. Seymour was born on February 8, 1932, in Hart County, GA to the late Coy A. and Emma Ruth Moss Seymour. He attended the University of Georgia, was a retired mechanic and a U.S. Army Veteran having served in the Korean Conflict. Kenneth was a member of Dewy Rose Baptist Church, and a Free and Accepted Mason at Primrose Masonic Lodge #79 where he severed as Grand Master for several terms. Left to cherish his memories are his children and their spouses, Ricky Gene Seymour and Lynn of Loganville, GA and Freda Renee Seymour and Butch Dudley of Iva, SC; two grandchildren, Andrew David Seymour and Abigail Brooke Seymour, both of Loganville, GA; brother, Jerry Seymour of Elbert County, GA; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, he is preceded in death by brothers, Wilton, Billy, and Thomas Seymour. Funeral services celebrating his life will be held on Sunday, October 13, at 4:00p.m. in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with the Rev. Kenny Martin officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery in Bowman, GA. The family is at their respective homes and will receive friends at Berry Funeral Home from 3:00-4:00p.m. on Sunday afternoon.
